Slovenian Visit

Representatives of the Ministry of Health of Slovenia were at SPMS on the 23rd and 24th of November for a working meeting called “eHealth: from strategy to healthcare services”. This initiative was promoted by DG REFORM (European Commission) and aimed to support Slovenia in the development of its National Strategy for eHealth.

On this visit, SPMS presented examples of good practices in digital health, in the domain of information systems, telehealth, implementation of cross-border services, users’ access to their health data, data governance and international cooperation, among other areas.

X-eHealth was highlighted during the event, as an ongoing collaborative project which aims to contribute to a European Union with better integrated health processes – through which the health record of every European citizen can readily accessed in any member state.

We recall that, under the coordination of SPMS, EPE, the X-eHealth project is co-financed by the 3rd European Union Health Program – 2014/2020.
